🧑🏫 Classroom Routines That Prevent Chaos
Dec 27, 2025Ever feel like your classroom has too much noise or too many distractions? You’re not alone! 😅 Most classroom disruptions start from small things — like a student searching for a pencil, chatting during a transition, or moving around when they shouldn’t.
The good news? 🎉 You can stop most of these problems before they start by building strong classroom routines.
🔹 Start-of-Class Routine
Have students know exactly what to do when they walk in.
➡️ Example: Grab materials, sit down, and begin a warm-up quietly.
🔹 Transition Routine
Moving from one activity to another can get messy!
➡️ Keep students busy with short, clear directions so there’s no “down time.”
🔹 End-of-Class Routine
The last few minutes matter.
➡️ Have students clean up, check desks, and get ready for dismissal calmly.
When your routines are predictable, students feel safe and know what’s expected — and that means fewer surprises and fewer disruptions! 🙌
