𧩠Routines That Run Your Classroom (So You Donβt Have To)
Nov 01, 2025“We don’t rise to our goals—we fall to our systems.”
In class, routines are your systems. They make learning smooth and give you your time back. Here are 6 must-have routines—4 for students, 2 for you.
π§ Student Routines (4)
-
Entry Routine πͺ
Greet at the door. Timer on. Warm-up on the screen. Students sit and start within 1 minute. -
Transitions β±οΈ
Use a visible timer for every shift. Hand out materials before the next activity starts. -
Getting Attention π
Choose one signal (e.g., “Eyes up here, please”). Hold to it every time until you have all eyes. -
Closing the Class π
You dismiss, not the bell. Give quick feedback, then pack up in the last 2–3 minutes.

Plug-and-Play Lesson Plan π§°
Reuse the same lesson types each unit; only the content changes:
π₯ Edpuzzles · π Notes · π² Activity · π Review Game · 𧩠Breakout · π Test -
Fast Grading System β‘
Don’t grade everything. Use credit/no-credit, student self-counts, and a quick verify. Save hours each week.
π― Why It Works
Routines create predictability and calm. Students know what to do. You gain time to teach well—and enjoy it.
