Spring Break in Vegas

Apr 19, 2025

Now don't get to excited because this trip was a family trip to Vegas and unlike what the commercial says, "What happens in Vegas does not stay in Vegas".  Now with that said I decided to document our trip and share it others.

We started with a stop at Peggy Sue's Diner, about halfway there, which is a fun 50s-themed place with cool decorations and great calzones. We even saw the duck pond and turtles in the back. Further down the road, we stopped at Eddie's World for some ice cream.

In Vegas, we stayed at our usual time-share, Tahiti Village, which has a nice Tahitian theme. Since there were six of us, we had a spacious two-bedroom room. We also made a quick trip to Smiths for groceries and to get gas.

The next day, we had breakfast at Cracker Barrel and then walked over to the Bass Pro Shop connected to the Silverton Hotel, where they have a cool aquarium. My daughter was excited to try the cotton candy burrito at The Creamery. Later, my wife, my oldest daughter, and I visited the Pinball Museum, which was a fun hidden gem with lots of playable pinball machines.

On our third day, we took the shuttle to the Strip and did our usual walk, visiting the M&M store, Reese's Hershey chocolate store, and the Coca-Cola store. We also had lunch at the Rainforest Cafe. On our way out of Vegas, we stopped at an outlet mall and, of course, had to make one more stop at Peggy Sue's Diner. Overall, it was a great family vacation.
