Teach Like a PRO in the Classroom!

Jun 28, 2025

Have you ever seen a teacher deliver a perfect lesson and thought, “Why can’t I do that?” Good news—you can! Let’s break down how.

๐Ÿง  1. Chunk Your Lessons
Instead of teaching everything at once, break your lesson into smaller parts.
Here’s how I do it:

  • ๐Ÿ“Œ Start with a warm-up (8 min)

  • ๐Ÿ’ฌ Share the day’s plan (5 min)

  • ๐Ÿ’ญ Ask a Big Thinking Question (4–5 min)

  • ๐Ÿ“ Take notes or do classwork (15 min)

  • ๐Ÿ“– Read or reflect (5 min)

  • ๐Ÿงพ Wrap up with a summary (5–10 min)

Switching activities every 10–15 minutes keeps students focused and helps the lesson flow better.

๐Ÿ‘ฃ 2. Use Gradual Release
Teach using the I do, We do, You do method:

  • ๐Ÿ‘€ I do: Model it for the class

  • ๐Ÿ‘ฅ We do: Try it together

  • โœ๏ธ You do: Let them try it on their own

๐ŸŽต 3. Find Your Classroom Rhythm
A smooth class has a natural flow. When transitions feel like a dance, students stay engaged—and so do you!

๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ 4. Track What Works
After each day, take 5 minutes to write down what went well (and what didn’t). That way, you don’t have to reinvent the wheel every time.

๐Ÿ‘จ‍๐Ÿซ Teaching doesn’t have to feel chaotic. With the right structure, you can teach like a pro—and love it, too.
